WHAT IS THE CLEVA POD® SYSTEM?
CLEVA POD® is the “Circular Foundation for the Future”. It is a unique, patented forming system for concrete waffle slab foundations made from recycled and waste plastic. CLEVA POD® is designed to protect the environment and supports sustainable construction.
CAN I USE CLEVA PODS® IN PLACE OF TRADITIONAL POLYSTYRENE PODS?
CLEVA POD® is a direct like-for-like replacement for the traditional polystyrene pods. As a result, engineers do not need to re-engineer the foundation design.
HOW DOES A CLEVA POD® INSTALLATION COMPARE TO TRADITIONAL WAFFLE POD RAFT FLOORS?
The CLEVA PODs® unique patented design and simple connectivity support a quick, easy and no-fuss installation. Building time and skills are similar to what contractors are used to and there’s no mess during or after construction.
CAN YOU STACK THE CLEVA POD® FOR TRANSPORT?
The CLEVA POD® is designed to stack in any orientation. The CLEVA PODs® required for a standard 200m² residential foundation, could be delivered on 3-4 pallets and fit onto a double axel trailer. This significantly reduces the transport costs associated with polystyrene pods.
CAN I HAVE A POLISHED FINISH WITH CLEVA PODS®?
Absolutely, because there are no polystyrene beads associated with the CLEVA POD® it is the ideal product to be used on polished floors.
IS THE CLEVA POD® SYSTEM BUILDING CODE COMPLIANT?
The CLEVA POD® conforms to AS2870 -2011 Residential Slabs and Footings, “Formed Void”.
CAN THE CLEVA PODS® BE RECYCLED?
CLEVA PODs® are a core component of the CLEVA POD® GREENSLAB®, a fully recoverable and recyclable foundation. All the elements of a GREENSLAB™ can be recovered, recycled and reused. This supports protecting the environment and sustainable construction.
IS THE CLEVA POD® SYSTEM AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT NEW ZEALAND?

The CLEVA POD® is extremely versatile and can be cut on any angle or shape to fit any foundation configuration.
